Giving an Account
Romans 14:12 “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
Are you a responsible person? Maybe in your past, there have been some seasons when you lacked your current measure of responsibility. Whatever the case may be it’s important for us as biblical men to realize that we are accountable.
Other men may deny that they will give an account of their life to God. There are plenty of men that don’t want to give an account of their life to anyone. But the scriptures are clear on this matter. We will all give an account of our lives to God.
As believers, we are not trying to earn our way to Heaven, because we know that we can only get to Heaven through Christ alone, and never by our own merit.
Ephesians 2:8–9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
However, as saved biblical men, that are already on our way to Heaven, we must also accept and take responsibility for our actions and behaviors in this life. We have God-given responsibilities to our families, our churches, and our communities. We must be the salt and light that Jesus has called us to be.
Matthew 12:36 “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”
Today’s Biblical Manhood Principle: Live each day knowing that you will give an account to God for it.
